The Dangme East District

The Dangme East District Health Directorate has observed the activities of the Parasite Control Association (PCA) and particularly commended the PCA Malaria Awareness Club in writing for the creditable work being done in support of malaria control. The local Health Directorate has released one motorbike to the PCA in support of the activities.

The Dangme East District Education Directorate has observed PCA school health promotion activities and encouraged strong community participation in school health quiz and inspection competitions. The Education Directorate has supported a unique effort through which the Ada Secondary School has provided a place for the PCA Office. The PCA office is now running in the school with a small laboratory attached to help advance quality science education in the school. Today, school teachers and administrative staff are contributing to the strengthening of Community Development Association (CDA)/PCA through experience based learning.
