DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS PROJECT & DEVELOPMENT

Big Ada

In 2005, the Ada-Foah Community Development Association (CDA)/ Parasite Control Association (PCA) supported the establishment (replication) of CDA in the Big Ada sub-district.

The inauguration of Big Ada PCA was funded by the local people through integration of the activities into the annual ‘Asafotufiami’ festival of the Dangme people.

Health promotion activities were conducted in all primary and junior secondary schools. A total of 1,923 pupils were dewormed for soil transmitted helminthes and schistosomiasis.

Non school-based deworming activities covered 18 communities and 2 identifiable groups in the Big Ada sub-district.
