Community Directed Development Foundation (CDDF) welcomes the expertise of Dr. I. M. Spence-Lewis, a Senior International Research Fellow from the United States of America at the Danquah Hospital, Kumasi.

Dr. Spence-Lewis was invited to Ghana to further specialist medical education in tropical medicine. The emphasis is on malaria amongst children under 5 and maternal deaths from malaria in both risk groups.

Advanced cases of malaria were examined at Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi. Dr. Spence-Lewis joined the CDDF Board of Directors and will promote malaria control.

This will include Africa and the study of imported malaria in Europe and United States.
