The first meeting of the Board of Directors of Community Directed Development Foundation (CDDF) was held on Friday, 13th April, 2007 at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR), University of Ghana, Legon, Accra-Ghana.

The moderator for the meeting was Dr. Victor Amoah, Chief Executive Officer of Jarikumah Corporation, USA.

Amongst the Board members invited by the Founder of CDDF (Prof. Kwabena M. Bosompem) were

• Prof. Alfred Oteng-Yeboah (Retired Deputy Director General of the CSIR of Ghana)
• Pastor Mrs. Grace Setorwu Fleischer (Assistant registrar of the University of Ghana and Pastor of the Light House Chapel International)
• Mr. John Armstrong Yaw Klinogo (John Kay Associates Ltd. Ghana, and former member of the Council of University of Ghana),
• Mr. Johnny Kumah (Director of the State of Missouri Office in Accra),
• Dr. Victor Amoah Jarikumah (CEO, Jarikumah USA),
• Rev. Dr. Samuel Ayete-Nyampong (Rev. Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana),

The Administrative Assistant of CDDF, Mr. Joshua Castro Sedzro acted as recorder for the meeting.

The CDDF Board meeting was started in a relaxed atmosphere over aromatic Ghanaian cocoa. The Board elected Prof. Alfred Oteng-Yeboah as Board Chairman. Other Board positions were assigned as below:

Mr. John Kofi Halley as the Vice Chairman
Pastor Mrs. Grace Setorwu Fleischer as Secretary
Mr. John Armstrong Yaw Klinogo as Treasurer

The Founder Prof. K.M. Bosompem, was confirmed President of the Foundation and he explained the concept and philosophy of Community Directed Development Initiative link. The brochure of the foundation and the maiden issue of the newsletter were distributed. Members of the Board agreed to discuss the constitution of the foundation at a future meeting.
