On Sunday 25th November 2007, CDDF organized a special meeting in Kwabeng, located in the Atiwa district of the Eastern Region of Ghana, to begin the process of forming a Community Directed Development Association (CDDA) in the local area. The meeting was attended by twenty one (21) community members who formed the core advocacy group or Pioneering Task Force. This group is being trained to conduct advocacy and build consensus for establishing a CDDA in Kwabeng.

With CDDA, accelerated sustainable development in local communities becomes a reality.
