On 25th Nov 2007, the President of CDDF met with the Chief and Elders of Kwabeng to discuss about difficulties faced by the local people to build partnerships in support of a water supply system in the community. The President briefed them about the concept of CDDF and explained the activities of CDDF including the formation of Community Directed development Association (CDDA) in the local area to promote sustainable development. He also proposed steps to be taken to form a water committee in Kwabeng to bring reliable supply of safe water to the people.

The Chiefs gladly agreed with the concept of forming innovative partnerships and collaboration among partners who do not traditionally work together and pledged their support for the intervention by the FOUNDATION.

In appreciation of the intervention by CDDF, the people of Kwabeng donated an amount of GH ¢30 or US$ 30 to the Foundation.
